What takes the USPS 12 days to deliver a package?

So back in late January, I got some good prices on Seasons 6 and 7 of Star Trek, DS9 and they were shipped the day after payment was recieved.

Here is a copy of the tracking log from the USPS website.

WTF takes 12+ days for delivery? It would have been faster to hand deliver it. Anyway, I am hoping that they are at least in good condition when I get home.

It strikes me as odd that year after year, the Post Office raises its rates, while services continually degrade. Only in the last year did my local PO finally get an automated machine that isn't broken every time I need to get stamps.
